A Farewell Party with No Tears

Bill, who calls himself Lao Bi, is leaving for a new post this week. This Canadian guy will play as a doctor in a TV series, part of which is to be shot in his homecountry.
There should be a farewell gathering for him, we thought. Then we did it.
But right before the gathering started, Lao Bi was still working on our stories. Should we call him this time LAO MO, haha
"All for meeee ?! " Lao Bi's exaggeration switched everyone to laughter from a sort of sadness in a second.
Have to say he is a born actor. He made us laugh and laugh at a farewell party held for him who is leaving in a few hours!
His new role is interesting to us. Lao Bi is smart enough by feeding our curiosity while keeping the secret (of the play) at the core:) When we were guessing what he would look like in the TV series, another foreign colleague J called in. Lao Bi "directed" a group conversation with J who was on his way to our gathering.
Lao Bi is addicted to performace, isn't he? He was playing on the spot, hahah
Lao Bi made the guy on the left hand "oversmiled" when he heard me saying "why you are all so serious".

Ah so, it was my turn to have a picture taken with the wouldbe superstar!
The gathering lasted for one hour only. No one shed a single drop of tear but that does not necessarily mean that no one would miss Lao Bi in the future. One thing that is different from all other farewell parties will be when some of us think of Lao Bi, we'll think of the funny stories he told today and his smiling face.
Would he change his partner in the TV series from a tear-shedder to a happy woman? Got no idea.

And Good Wind All the Way -- guess what it actully means! I saw this on a banner in a small restaurant in Huairou in 1995 and would never forget it :)
